- **What is an AI CRM assistant?** An assistant that works inside your CRM rather than beside it. In Crossing Edge you type what you need in plain words, and the teammate finds the records, takes the steps and shows you the result: a lead added, a call logged, a follow-up planned, a workflow or a report built.
- **Does it change things without asking?** No. Looking things up happens straight away. Anything that creates, changes or deletes a record is shown to you first as a short list of changes, and nothing happens until you confirm.
- **Can it see records I can't?** No. The teammate works with your own access, so it can only see and change what you could yourself. Owners and admins decide which members may use it at all.
- **What can it build for me?** Workflows (“when a task is two days late, message its owner”), fields and choices, pipelines and stages, saved views and full reports, all from a sentence, each shown to you before it's saved.

- **What is MCP?** The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini connect to outside apps. Crossing Edge runs an MCP server, so any AI tool that supports MCP connectors can work with your CRM.
- **How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini?** Copy your connection link from Settings in Crossing Edge, add it as a custom connector in your AI tool, and sign in once. From then on you can ask that AI to read and update your CRM.
- **What can the AI do once connected?** More than 130 actions: search and update contacts, companies, deals and your own objects, log calls and meetings, plan tasks, read and reply to email and Telegram conversations, build reports and dashboards, set up pipelines, fields and automations, and more.
- **Is it safe?** The AI acts as you, with your own access and nothing more. You sign in with your Crossing Edge account, every change it makes is marked in the record's history, and you can disconnect it at any time.
- **Do I need Crossing Edge's own assistant as well?** No, but you get both. Crossing Edge has its own teammate built in, and the same abilities are open to the AI tool you already use, so the team can work wherever they're most comfortable.
- **Do I need an app?** No. Event mode opens in your phone's browser from a link or a QR code. Start the event on a laptop, scan its code with your phone, and you're capturing.
- **What can it read?** QR codes, including contact cards and links, photos of business cards and badges, and anything you type. A card photo is read for name, company, title, email, phone and handles.
- **Who owns the leads?** Whoever captured them, with the event's lead source and a note saying where and how you met. The whole team can capture into the same event.

- **Can my team see my personal email?** No. Only email judged to be sales comes into the CRM, private email is held back, and the review list for unclear email is visible only to the inbox's owner.
- **Can I reply from Crossing Edge?** Yes. Reply or reply all from the conversation, with your signature, and the email is sent from your own Gmail. Crossing Edge can draft the reply in your own writing style for you to edit.
- **How do I connect it?** In Settings, add your Gmail address and an app password from your Google account. Each member connects their own inbox, and recent email from the last week comes in as soon as you connect.
- **What do I need to connect IndiaMART?** A paid IndiaMART seller account with access to its CRM key. Paste the key into Settings, choose what each enquiry becomes, and Crossing Edge starts bringing them in.
- **How fast do enquiries arrive?** Within minutes. Crossing Edge checks IndiaMART regularly, and can also take enquiries the moment IndiaMART pushes them to your workspace's address.
- **Who gets each lead?** You decide: one person, or the team taking turns, with rules you set once. Each lead arrives owned, with a call task waiting.
- **What if an enquiry fails to come in?** Every enquiry is listed with what happened to it, and one that failed can be tried again with a click.
- **How does Telegram connect to Crossing Edge?** Your workspace uses its own Telegram bot, made in a minute with BotFather, and members can also connect their own accounts. Chats then arrive on the right customer automatically.
- **Do I need Telegram Premium?** Only for Telegram Business one-to-one chats. Groups, your own bot and signing in with your personal account work without it.
- **Will my personal chats show up?** An AI check keeps to sales chats and holds back private messages by default. Each member can change those filters for their own chats.
- **Can I reply from Crossing Edge?** Yes. Read the whole chat on the customer's record and reply from there; the message goes out through Telegram.
- **Which apps does Crossing Edge connect to?** Gmail, Telegram and IndiaMART are built in, web forms and other tools send leads through incoming webhooks, and spreadsheets import and export as CSV. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and any other MCP client connect over MCP.
- **Is there an API?** Yes. A REST API at api.crossingedge.com/v1 reaches everything in the CRM, with workspace keys that are read only or read and write, and a full OpenAPI 3.1 reference.
- **Do integrations need a developer?** No. Built-in integrations and MCP are set up from Settings in a few steps. Only the API is for developers.
- **How do I build a report?** Ask for it in plain words, in Crossing Edge or from Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini: “won revenue by lead source this quarter, with win rate as a line”. The report is built on your live data and saved to Reports. Ask again to change anything.
- **Can I trust the numbers?** Every figure a report works out is checked against your records before it's saved. When a number can't be checked, the report says so rather than guessing.
- **Who can see a report?** Anyone you share it with, but each person sees only the records their own access allows. One report works for the whole team without anyone seeing more than they should.
- **Which reports come ready-made?** Insights, a pipeline overview and a people overview are there from day one. Build anything else by asking.
- **Can I click into a number?** Yes. Every number opens the records behind it, so you can go from a chart straight to the deals or contacts that make it up.
